Introduction
The Very Reverend Thomas J. Murphy delivered this homily at the Opening Mass of the 1974-75 school year at St. Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein, IL. He focused his remarks on one very precious gift – the gift of time. “During this year, as we use each part of this gift of time, we realize full well that it will never be given to us again,” said Rev. Murphy. “The brevity of time makes us aware how precious this gift is. The parameters of time make us conscious of our own limitations.”
