Introduction
The Very Reverend Thomas J. Murphy delivered his annual “View from the Bridge” address to the students, faculty and administration of St. Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein, IL for the 1975-76 school year. He chose to focus this address on the critical importance for the seminary to provide the climate, environment and experience of helping all seminarians to be men of faith. “To be men of faith is not to be condemned to an experience of boredom or dullness,” said Rev. Murphy. “Rather the very concept and living out of one’s faith can be and must be the ultimate adventure in living.”
