Hold fast to dreams

“Hold fast to dreams” Archbishop Murphy proclaims to young people graduating this spring in his weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column. He identifies a conflict in between the materialistic values so prevalent in our culture and those values espoused by the Catholic Church. The archbishop’s one dream is to share our religious faith traditions with young people – the dreams of human dignity, justice, peace and fidelity. “One of the responsibilities of an older generation is to share dreams with the generations to follow,” said Archbishop Murphy. “Dare we accept this challenge as people of faith?”
