National Catholic Development Conference Luncheon – Stewardship

Archbishop Murphy delivered this address on stewardship to the National Catholic Development Conference. He provides an overview of the creation of the landmark pastoral letter: “Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response.” Three convictions form the basis of stewardship: A) Each of God’s children is called to be a disciple of Christ, B) Conversion – a change of heart and C) A recognition of God as the origin of life. “It (pastoral letter) outlines well for us what it means to live out the vocation as a disciple in today’s world and how stewardship is a part of that response with its unique cost,” said Archbishop Murphy.
