A word to graduates…and others as well

With the arrival of graduation season, Archbishop Murphy writes in his weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column of the importance to not only congratulate all graduates but also to thank all people who played a role in this milestone – especially parents, teachers and administrators. He characterizes graduation as a sign of a new generation assuming responsibility with us for the world in which we live. “I hope each year that our graduates will create a future in which they take the risk of believing in themselves, in others, and especially in a good and gracious God who has shared so much with them,” said Archbishop Murphy. “I pray they will create a future to believe in.”
