“A City of Destiny: A Time of Destiny” – Catholic Schools Week

Archbishop Murphy delivered the keynote address at the Discover Catholic Schools Convention in Tacoma, WA. His address touched on four major topics: quality education infused with Gospel values, availability of schools, public and private funding and competitive salaries and benefits for all teachers and administrators. “Catholic schools cannot be a haven for the rich or affluent,” said Archbishop Murphy. “Catholic schools must seek to welcome students from all economic backgrounds and become a rainbow of color, ethnicity and religious traditions.”
