Liturgy for Fundraisers

In this homily delivered at a Mass celebrated in conjunction with National Catholic Development and Stewardship Conference, Archbishop Murphy challenges all of those present to view the acts of giving and stewardship in a different perspective. He describes these acts not as ends in themselves but rather as responses in faith to the far more important issues of who we are and who God is. “Giving and stewardship make little or no sense separated from our faith,” said Archbishop Murphy. “Rather, giving and stewardship must flow from our awareness of God and an awareness of ourselves created in the image and likeness of God.”
