Guidelines for Sex Education

Bishop Murphy’s provides an overview of an important new set of curriculum guidelines on sex education published by the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops in his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column. He says, “The document is not a textbook for students, but rather provides assistance for educators in developing, selecting and strengthening educational programs or courses in sexuality. Critical to any formal sex education program is the involvement of parents in the planning and execution of the program.”
