Archbishop Murphy offers his perspectives on Pope John Paul II’s recently released encyclical “The Splendor of Truth” in his weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column. He expresses surprise at the harsh criticisms of the media issued prior to the release of the document. “At the heart of the encyclical is the search for the splendor of truth which can give direction to our lives,” said Archbishop Murphy.
