Stewardship – It Is More than a Matter of Money

Archbishop Murphy was a passionate believer in stewardship. He served as the Chair of the NCCB Ad Hoc Committee on Stewardship. The final product of this committee was the landmark pastoral letter “Stewardship: A Disciples Response.” This address provides a summary of the origins of the pastoral letter. Archbishop Murphy also shares his perspectives on the fundamental underpinnings of stewardship and how we can make it a part of our lives, parishes and dioceses. “I hope it (“Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response”) will help to call all people to ongoing spiritual renewal and conversion,” he said. “After all, stewardship is more than a matter of money.”
