Is it time to get back to basics?

The importance for all Christians to understand and accept fundamental church doctrines and religious values is the focus of Archbishop Murphy’s weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column. He views parish communities as playing a major role in this endeavor. “If knowledge is so important for the decisions we make in living out our lives in human situations, knowledge becomes even more important when we confront religious beliefs and convictions,” said Archbishop Murphy. “Such beliefs and convictions are the basis for our ongoing religious formation.” Passing our faith to the next generation requires all teachers and parents to live, know and practice their faith.
