The Easter season: A call to ministry

In honor of World Day of Prayer for Vocations, the call to ministry is the Archbishop Murphy’s weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column. “Each baptized person must recognize his or her call to discover ways to share their gifts with others within our parishes and faith communities,” said the archbishop. “We must take time to walk with Jesus, as the unnamed disciples do in the Gospel for this weekend, and respond to the challenge which Jesus offers.” He describes the urgent need for vocations to the priesthood and religious life – the very future of the church depends on it.
