Celebration of Reconciliation

In his homily at a reconciliation service celebrated at St. James Cathedral in Seattle, WA, Archbishop Murphy exhorts all members of the congregation to turn away from strange Gods and turn their hearts to God. He acknowledges Jesus Christ’s awareness of the pain and tension of human life. The Lord heals the spirit as well as the body. Archbishop Murphy urges all those wishing to experience the healing powers of reconciliation to embrace the words in Luke’s Gospel, “Lord, be merciful to me, a sinner.”
