“In our quest for spirituality, we are invited to meet Jesus, our friend and brother,” so begins Archbishop Murphy’s third in a series of six columns on spirituality for Catholic Northwest Progress. He describes Jesus’s chance encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well as an example of how we can deepen our spiritual relationship with God. “Spirituality is not just an issue that involves God and me,” said Archbishop Murphy. “Once I meet God and I recognize the oasis that God offers us in Jesus, then we must find ways to invite others to come to the waters.”
