St. Valentines Day: Hoax or hope?
A celebration of the sacrament of marriage is the subject of Archbishop Murphy’s weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column. In his view, Christian marriage offers a sign of hope to society. “Marriage is a unique expression of a human relationship,” said Archbishop Murphy. “It involves a process where two individuals grow together as a couple who make room in their relationship for God and for children.” He exhorts all Christians to preserve the value of marriage and the commitment and fidelity it celebrates.
