A week in Washington, D.C.

Archbishop Murphy uses his weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column to describe his experience at the most recent annual meeting of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops in Washington D.C. The bishops discussed and voted on three pastoral letters on the role of women in society and the church, evangelization and stewardship. They also took up the very challenging issue of priest sexual abuse.
