Where are the saints today?

“More than at any other time in our history, there is need for us to recognize saints today, people who live among us and who live lives in tremendous fidelity to the Gospel as disciples of Jesus,” said Archbishop Murphy in his weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column. The archbishop wrote this column in advance of the coming celebration the Feast of All Saints. He encourages all of us to find the saints in our lives. Archbishop Murphy believes God will choose as saints those who were able to recognize the presence of Christ among the poor, the hungry, the homeless.
