St. Joseph’s Parish – Installation of Reverend Craig Boly

In his homily at the installation of the Reverend Craig Boly as pastor of St. Joseph’s Parish in Seattle, WA, Archbishop Murphy articulates his vision for the roles of the parish and its pastor. The parish in his view is a not a place where but a people who join together to make the Gospel come alive. A pastor is not an isolated servant but rather a servant who works, prays and responds to his people. “But a parish and a pastor not only relate to one another; they relate to Christ Jesus and the Good News which the Gospel proclaims,” said Archbishop Murphy.
