Catholic Schools Mass – St. James Cathedral

Archbishop Murphy expresses his sincere gratitude for the gift of service in his homily at a Catholic Schools Mass celebrated at St. James Cathedral in Seattle, WA. He cites his concern for the future due to many factors – principal among them is the rampant individualism in our culture. What gives him hope is the gift of service teachers and administrators share with young people in Catholic schools. “The difference (in Catholic schools) is the teacher who recognizes that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life in his or her life and dares to introduce young people to the Good News proclaimed by Jesus Christ,” said Archbishop Murphy.
