Slow me down, Lord

Archbishop Murphy in his weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column offers his thoughts during this Advent season on the importance for all God’s people to “slow down” to make room for God’s presence in our lives. He emphasizes the importance for each one of us to establish and maintain balance – a difficult task indeed. “There is a need to find time for private prayer and study,” said Archbishop Murphy. “There seems to be a real need for me and other ministers, along with the communities we serve, to know that we cannot live up to all expectations which we put on ourselves or others impose on us.”
