National Catholic Development Conference

Archbishop Murphy’s homily, delivered at a Mass celebrated for the National Catholic Development Conference, urges all present “to discover that we find Jesus and ourselves when we lose ourselves for others in Jesus’ name.” He believes all those engaged in the ministry of development and fundraising can truly make a difference by placing their efforts “in the context of our faith, as a response to the challenge of the Gospel.” In his view, to do otherwise makes our work “merely tasks and functions isolated from what gives our lives meaning and purpose.”
