Sisters of Providence – 1991 Jubilee Celebration

Archbishop Murphy gave this sermon at the Jubilee Celebration Mass for five members of the Sisters of Providence. He based the homily on the Word of God proclaimed that afternoon and also in the Providence Prayer: “By name I have called you, By name I will save you.” The archbishop concluded his remarks by stating, “And I, like so many others, am deeply grateful that the Sisters of Providence are present among us and I give thanks to God each day for the incredible gift they so generously share with us.”
