Thanks, Archbishop Hunthausen
Archbishop Murphy dedicates his weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column to express his gratitude for the ministry of Archbishop Raymond Hunthausen. He remembers how their paths first crossed at his ordination as Bishop of Great Falls in 1978. “I have benefitted from Archbishop HunthausenÂ’s example in more ways than I could ever describe,” said Archbishop Murphy. “Perhaps two words characterize his person and his ministry – integrity and fidelity. I give thanks to God for not only being able to hear those words but to see them lived out in the person of Raymond G. Hunthausen.”
