Centennial Celebration – Edmonds Dominicans

At a Mass held to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Edmonds Dominicans at St. Luke Church in Seattle, WA, Archbishop Murphy recalled the journey seven women made a century ago to establish the Edmonds Dominicans. Throughout his ministry as a priest and bishop, he made it a priority to actively engage and involve religious women in all facets of the church. “On behalf of Archbishop Hunthausen and myself, may I express our own deep appreciation and the appreciation of the countless people whose lives you have touched these past 100 years,” said Archbishop Murphy. “The Church of Western Washington is stronger because of your presence.”
