SERRA Mass with Seminarians

Archbishop Murphy offered this homily at a Mass celebrated with the Serra Club of Seattle at St. Bridget’s Church in Seattle, WA. He took the time to thank the members of the Serra Club for the all of the support and encouragement provided to priests, religious women and men and candidates for priesthood. “At times, as priests, religious or candidates for priesthood, we could well think that we are the people asked to make the great sacrifices today in being disciples of Jesus,” said Archbishop Murphy. “But that same spirit of sacrifice also characterizes the lives of men and women in marriage, as single people, as widows or widowers.
