Catholic University of America – Conference on Housing

Archbishop Murphy presided at a Mass celebrated in conjunction with a Conference on Housing held at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. In his homily, he cites the many encounters Jesus Christ had throughout his life with ordinary people, encounters bringing forth life and hope, as the example all Christians should seek to emulate in offering aid and shelter to the homeless. He offered the following thought to articulate his perspective, “In reaching out to touch the lives of the homeless, we do as Jesus did and we share with others the gift of life.”
