Mass for Health Care Professionals

In this Mass celebrated at St. James Cathedral in Seattle, WA to honor the many contributions of healthcare professionals, Archbishop Murphy equates their purpose with the central challenge presented to all Christians – to continue the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ. He describes how Christ and all healthcare professionals share a common mission – the ministry of healing. In conclusion, the archbishop offered the following observation, “The witness which you offer … is a daily testimony to your respect for life, your appreciation of the dignity of the human person and your commitment to the values of the Gospel.”
