Providence Medical Center Groundbreaking Ceremony

In a Mass celebrated for the grand opening of a new building at Providence Medical Center in Seattle, WA, Archbishop Murphy focused his homily on one of the core elements of the mission of Jesus Christ – reaching out to the sick and infirm. He emphasized the central mission of all Catholic healthcare facilities by saying, “The research and healthcare offered here will be based on a respect for the human person, an appreciation of the dignity of the human body and a commitment to the gift of human life from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death.”
