Afternoon of Renewal for Eucharistic Ministers and Ministers of Communion of the Sick

Archbishop Murphy delivered a comprehensive address to a gathering of Eucharistic Ministers and Ministers of Communion to the Sick at Quigley Preparatory Seminary in Chicago, IL. His speech accomplished the following tasks: 1) Defined the origins and current role of Eucharistic Ministers, 2) Provided a detailed overview of the Eucharist and its importance as the center of Christian worship, 3) Described the special role of Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick and 4) Identified the people Eucharistic Ministers serve. He concluded by identifying some challenges Eucharistic Ministers will face in the future.
