Memorial Day Liturgy at Holyrood Cemetery

Archbishop Murphy used a recurring theme in his homily at a Memorial Day Mass celebrated at Holyrood Cemetery in Seattle, WA: “To give thanks and to remember.” He describes how God has given all his children the precious gift of life. The archbishop reminds us all of the inevitable reality of death and the promise it holds for all those who are faithful to God. “How death will take place for each of us is unknown,” said Archbishop Murphy. “But as people of faith, we know that we are born to die in order to live forever.”
