The Best Of Times or The Worst Of Times?

In his annual Easter “Reflections” column in the April 1987 edition of The Harvest, Bishop Murphy acknowledges the many challenges individuals and the church face at this time. He encourages all Christians to embrace the true meaning of Easter, Christ’s triumph over sin and death, in dealing with the many difficulties in their own lives. “It is the best of times always when people dare to take the risk of believing, of hoping, of loving as the Lord challenges us to do so,” said Bishop Murphy. “Easter faith tells us that the Lord will triumph and we share in His victory.”
