Where We Find God – And God Finds Us

Bishop Murphy dedicates his “Reflections” column for the September 1986 edition of The Harvest to discussing the true meaning of priestly ministry – for the ordained and the people of God they serve. In his view, priests seek holiness through their pastoral ministry with the People of God. He articulated this viewpoint by expressing the following thought, “It is in the pastoral situation where a priest serves others that the priest can find God and God finds him.”
