Renewing the Church – RCIA in Parish Life, Diocese of Colorado Springs

Bishop Murphy frames his keynote address on “RCIA in Parish Life” to the Diocese of Colorado Springs through three actions: remember, rejoice and renew. He views RCIA as an ongoing and lifelong process of conversion and renewal. The bishop offered the following perspective, “Renewal and conversion are not isolated dramatic moments. They might begin with a profound experience of grace that takes on different forms, or be the result of years of searching for meaning and significance in one’s life. … Renewal and conversion call people to the lifetime process of willing to be the disciple of Jesus, yet wanting to become even more.”
