Holy Thursday at St. Patrick’s Co-Cathedral

Bishop Murphy bases his Holy Thursday Mass homily at St. Patrick’s Co-Cathedral in Billings, MT on the theme of “service”. He characterized the ministry of Jesus as one of service to others. If all Christians are to follow Jesus, we must do the same. The Eucharist plays an integral role in supporting Christ’s servant role. “Eucharist compels the community to reach out beyond itself to act as a community and to meet common needs,” said Bishop Murphy. “To eat and drink with Jesus means to rise and offer oneself as food and drink to others.”
