Catholic Schools – Billings Parent Teacher Association

Bishop Murphy delivered a comprehensive address on Catholic education to the Billings, MT Parent Teacher Organization. He began by stating, “In fulfilling its mission of continuing the ministry of Jesus, the Church has the responsibility of sharing a Catholic education with all its members.” Providing underprivileged children with access to Catholic schools was one of his top priorities. “At no time should a Catholic school exclude the poor or underprivileged,” said Bishop Murphy. “Every possible way must be sought to insure the presence of students in Catholic schools who represent all strata in society.”
