A Letter to Young Men – An Invitation
In the fifth in a series of “Letters to Young People”, Bishop Murphy invites all young men to consider a vocation to the priesthood. He defines priesthood as a vocation which is essential to the life of the church. In closing, Bishop Murphy offers the following personal reflection, “For almost 28 years I have served the Church as a priest. I admit my own limitations and failings, yet, I know the power of GodÂ’s grace. It is that grace which prompts me dare to ask you to consider priesthood as a vocation. It is a life that can bring you untold joy and satisfaction.”
