Mass of Chrism

Bishop Murphy offered this homily at the Chrism Masses held at St. Ann’s Cathedral in Great Falls, MT and St. Patrick’s Co-Cathedral in Billings, MT. He began by stating, “We come to celebrate the blessing of the oils which will be used in our parish churches throughout the coming year. Oil is a powerful symbol in our ritual. It is a sign of strength and faith – and these oils will be a challenge to those on whom this oil will be placed during the coming year.”
