Our Identity, Our Challenge, and Our Ministry

Bishop Murphy delivered this address on fundraising to a group of pastors and lay development professionals from the Diocese of Salt Lake City, UT. He spoke just prior to the kickoff of their annual Diocesan Development Drive. His address focused on three areas: 1) An awareness of our identity as a church, 2) Our obligation to stewardship and 3) The opportunity for a necessary and essential ministry in the church today. He concluded by stating, “Calling people to Christian stewardship is a response to faith. It is more than sharing material resources, but rather sharing one’s life, one’s self. “
