The Call to be Church – Revisited

Bishop Murphy, in his closing address to a Convocation of the Archdiocese of Seattle titled “Called to Be Church,” defined the “call to be Church” as the response whereby people acknowledge the invitation they have to be members of the Christian community. He concluded with the following thought, “In our call to be Church, our major responsibility is to recognize and appreciate the charisms and gifts present in each member of the Church community.”
