One’s heritage and faith

In his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column, Bishop Murphy reflects on how celebrating St. Patrick’s Day prompted him to make the connection between his Irish heritage and Christian faith. He wraps up this column by saying, “I’m grateful for St. Patrick’s Day. I’m grateful for this second week of Lent. They help me to focus on the gifts I have received from parents, family and friends; they help me be aware of the privilege I have to be a member of the Roman Catholic faith community.”
