How Can We Encourage Vocations to Priesthood?

In his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column, Bishop Murphy discusses the critical importance of increasing the number of vocations to the priesthood. He identifies some of the fundamental aspects of ordained ministry that might keep young men from considering a vocation – principal among them being celibacy and a lifelong commitment to the church. In closing, Bishop Murphy affirms his belief that it is up to the entire Catholic community to encourage young men to hear the call to a vocation to the priesthood.
