A New Law for the Church

The introduction of the revised Code of Canon Law is the subject of Bishop Murphy’s weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column. Compliance with all aspects of the law is not open for debate in his view. He says, “Yet, the presence of law is essential to the individual and common good. Just as all law does, the revised Code of Canon Law outlines the rights and privileges of all members of the Church. But the law also shares a vision and an ideal which we are asked to live.”
