Going Back To My Roots

In his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column, Bishop Murphy shares some personal reflections on his recent trip to Rome and Ireland. He traveled to Rome to meet with Pope John Paul II as a part of the traditional “Ad Limina” visit. In closing, Bishop Murphy says, “A visit to Rome is a religious experience. A two thousand year history of faith and hope seems to burst forth from every comer of the city. One cannot visit Rome without a deep awareness of belonging to a universal Church which goes beyond an individual parish, diocese or country.”
