Pentecost – renew the face of the earth

In his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column, Bishop Murphy travels back in time to reflect on the first Pentecost when the Holy Spirit shared gifts of faith, power and strength with the followers of Jesus. The power of renewal is central to the meaning of the Pentecost. He goes on to state, “Pentecost is the feast of life and peace and we should celebrate this feast this year with the urgent plea for the Holy Spirit to come and renew the face of the earth.”
