Lent – A time to celebrate life!

Bishop Murphy offers some thoughts on the beginning of Lent in his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column. He frames the essence of Lent by saying, “The basic message of Lent is a celebration of life – the life which Jesus shared with us which gives us the promise of eternal life. Lent is also a time of prayer and penance which calls us to new life and conversion.”
