“Father, what happened to our kids?”

Bishop Murphy in his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column seeks to provide some perspective on the root causes of young people raised in the Catholic Church who no longer attend Mass or practice their faith. This column makes it clear that there are no easy quick fixes to this challenge. He says, “The example of parents continues to be the strongest argument which becomes even more important after children are grown and leave home. All attempts at communication should be kept open if at all possible. And Christian charity, kindness, and compassion should characterize the relationship.”
