What Seminary People Should Hear from Bishops

Bishop Murphy delivered this address to the Midwest Association of Theological Schools in Chicago, IL. His remarks focus on the relationship between a diocese and a seminary in their cooperative effort of preparing candidates for priesthood. He says, “The relationship between a bishop or a religious superior and a seminary community should be marked by a spirit of corporate enterprise. … We should seek out and create opportunities for dialogue and discussion that would enhance that corporate enterprise.”
