Will There Be Priests and Sisters To Serve Us?

The shortage of priests and religious women and men to staff our parishes, schools and other Catholic institutions is the subject of Bishop Murphy’s weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column. He reminds all the faithful of this urgent need, “A sign of maturity of a Diocese is its self sufficiency for religious vocations as well as the number of people we invite to become members of our faith community. Perhaps we take this whole situation far too much for granted and forget the responsibility we have as a Church to encourage vocations and to invite people to be part of our faith community.”
