In his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column, Bishop Murphy describes a caravan of diocesan staff members he will lead to all parts of the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings, MT. The purpose of the caravan is to provide members of the diocesan staff an opportunity to meet the people in the parishes – the very people they serve day in and day out. In Bishop Murphy’s view, “If a Diocesan Staff is to be of service to the parish communities, there must be dialogue and discussion. A Diocesan staff cannot isolate itself from the people and communicate only through the written word or newsletters.”
