Bishop Murphy delivered this homily at the ordination of Rev. Msgr. Greg Staudinger to the priesthood. He offered the following meaningful thought on celibacy, “Celibacy, according to St. Thomas Aquinas, is the experience of ’emptiness for God.’ But to be empty for God is to be open and free for his presence, to be available for his service.”
